We source our Black Cardamom or "Badi Elaichi" from Uttara Kannada, Karnataka. This region is known for its lush forests and rich biodiversity! These seedpods are naturally dried under the sun, which gives them the hard-shelled, wrinkly texture and a smokey flavour. Black Cardamom is an essential part of the Garam Masala blend and is otherwise used as a whole spice in a variety of curries, soups, rice preparations, soups and chutneys.
